Bespoke experiences are something we talk about a lot at Tobias Partners. Our interest in the tailored aspect of projects from the way concepts are developed through to the individuality it ultimately brings to the end product is one of the central tenants of our design philosophy.

So it was a great honour to be invited to become an Ambassador for Louis Vuitton’s new “made-to-order” shoe and belt service – an inspired addition to their physical retail experience and part of their significant commitment to the Australian market at their new George St store.

The process is exceptional, commencing with a personal fitting and material selections for virtually every part of the shoe in a private section of the store. Working through the variety of options with the guidance of a consultant, the shoe virtually comes to life on LV’s ipad app and presto – the order is sent to the workshop in Italy upon the press of the approval button. I left the store with a heightened sense of enthusiasm and passion for the product, knowing that when it arrives it will not only be the perfect fit, but that I had some hand in it’s creation – a client experience our own projects aspire to.
