Location: Sydney CBD NSW

Refurbishment of these six floors of CBD offices involved creating a more dynamic, people-focused environment. The reception area is redefined more as a hotel-style lobby, where critical traffic paths of staff and visitors intersect. An informal seating area greets visitors on arrival, with supporting areas such as meeting rooms, knowledge centre and a café splintering off the lobby. Materials of limestone, oak panelling and paper lamps create a warm and textural setting, with a mix of ambient and task-specific lighting to avoid the ‘over-lit’ lobby feel. A sculptural timber installation wraps from the lobby to the outer walls, graphically referencing the corporate logo.
